FAQs

waterjet cutting australia

What materials can you cut?

We can cut nearly any material up to 100mm thick. Waterjet cutting services are particularly useful for cutting heat-sensitive materials that are difficult to cut with other machines. Materials like carbon fibre, composites, thick aluminium, titanium, tool steels, ceramic, foams, rubber, copper, silver and even gold can all be cut with our machines.

What file/extension type should I send with my design?

.DXF files are ideal design types as they require little extra input from us. However, we can work with samples or dimensioned drawings to get you the design that you want. We can also take a template or drawing and convert it to a ready-to-cut CAD drawing for you.

Do you supply the material or can I?

This is completely up to you! If you have already sourced a beautiful material for your project then we can cut this for you. Alternatively, as we can also use our extensive knowledge and supplier base to source and supply the type of material you want cut.

What should I include in an order or enquiry?

If you’re getting in touch with a specific order or product in mind, then we can give you more details about the process and a more accurate quote based on how much information you provide.

Consider including the following for the most accurate response:

  • Email .DXF or other dimensional file
  • The specific material you want cut, including thickness
  • Whether you are supplying the material or would like us to quote on this
  • Whether you will be picking up your project or whether you need it shipped

Alternatively, if you’re not sure exactly what you want and need more advice from us then please don’t hesitate to get in touch just to make a general enquiry.
